Originally designed by highly sought after architect Harry Schrader, this Lake Norman home was known for its distinctive style and prime waterfront location since constructed in 2004. After furnishing the home with Artistic Interiors in 2020, the new homeowners returned in 2023 to start a full interior renovation. Augusta worked closely with the team to update the kitchen, refresh interior spaces layouts, replace windows, and renovate outdoor spaces like the entry garden, terrace, and pool, bringing new life to a one-of-a-kind property while staying true to its original design.
Blending Old and New
The renovation focused on keeping the home’s unique character while making it better suited for the family’s lifestyle. TwoA curved office glass corner spaces, a signature feature of the original build, were was carefully updated with custom steel and glass designs. In the kitchen, Augusta collaborated with Artistic Interiors and trade partners to rework the layout, building a new bulkhead that concealed ventilation, lighting, and sound systems for a cleaner, more modern look.
The result is a home that feels updated but still true to its roots. This renovation brought a fresh chapter for the home and a lasting investment for the family’s future.
