Augusta Homes and High-Tech Network Open a New Smart Home Design Destination in Cornelius, NC
Some partnerships don’t need to be announced because they’ve existed all along. That’s how it feels with Augusta Homes and High-Tech Network (HTN).
In August 2025, Augusta and HTN will open the doors to a new space in Cornelius, North Carolina. Augusta Homes will return to something that feels familiar: Suite B, a quiet nod to where we started. HTN will take Suite A. Though this is the first time we’re sharing an address, our work has overlapped for years. Their technology has been inside our homes all along.
HTN was founded in 1975. That’s fifty years of lighting, shading, audio, concealment, and controls. Same industry, same markets, same families – now in their second and third generation. This is a company that speaks our language.
So, what will change?
No more driving our homeowners to other people’s homes to demonstrate the magic of Lutron’s Ketra intelligent lighting, or why Leon concealment matters, or how Sony video can be hidden behind fabric that matches the drapes. Now, we’ll walk them through our own space to demonstrate the full suite of options – not just the few in a private home.
This isn’t a typical showroom, but an experience center. The goal is not to show the products, but to experience the luxury lifestyle these products provide. The Lake Norman experience center will feature full-spectrum, dynamic lighting that shifts with the day—or mimics the sun at 7:12 a.m. in the South of France, if you so desire. Transform the way you interact with your home, shifting how you see the marble on your kitchen island or the graining in your wood floors. View your favorite paining exactly as the artist intended, on a clear day at dawn. Even if it’s midnight and raining.
The Experience Center showcases a curated group of premium manufacturers, including:
These brands—and many others—are permanently installed in the High-Tech Network Experience Center, providing a hands-on way to explore options for luxury homes.
Until now, design professionals in the Southeast had to travel to Miami, New York, Austin, DC, or Chicago to experience HTN’s systems in person. This new Cornelius smart home design center is a much-needed hub for our region, easily accessible to Lake Norman, Charlotte, Charleston, the Carolina coast, and Tennessee. The center will serve a large clientele, including:
Appointments are scheduled directly through HTN, ideally by integrators or design professionals. Homeowners and designers are welcome to come with questions, ideas, and detailed discussion points that don’t quite translate over email.
While HTN does not provide lighting design services, they collaborate closely with many of the best in the field.
The space will continue to evolve, with new products being introduced regularly.
Augusta sees this as a gesture of hospitality, a way to make the design process smoother and more intuitive. It is a way to bring new partners into the fold and to offer a visual and experiential understanding of what is possible.
Reserve your visit and witness this partnership come to light.
Integrators and professionals can book private appointments through HTN starting in late August 2025. Grand opening details to follow.
