As spring blooms around Lake Norman, the Augusta Homes team has been hard at work breaking ground, wrapping up renovations, and collaborating with incredible clients and design partners. Here’s a look at some recent milestones and what we’re looking forward to next.
We kicked off the year with a long-awaited backyard transformation in Davidson. The homeowners, who purchased our former Interior Design Society charity show house in 2020, were ready to add the pool they had always envisioned to the back yard. After working closely with the town of Davidson to transfer impervious coverage and coordinate permitting, we broke ground with Artistic Pools (https://swimartisticpools.com). We’re excited to have everything wrapped up in time for a summer of fun!
In February, we celebrated the completion of a whole-home renovation in the Peninsula. The homeowner had purchased this waterfront property more than 20 years ago and was ready to fully maximize the views they originally fell in love with. The transformation was extensive—and incredibly rewarding.
This project marked another partnership with Labella Residential (https://www.labellaresidential.com) and Melissa Godwin, owner of Crown Design Group (http://crowndesigngroupofnc.com).
March brought the start of a major whole home renovation in Cornelius, with a client of Heather Gibbs (https://www.corcoran.com/real-estate-agents/detail/heather-gibbs/115058/regionId/113). The early 2000s home sits on one of the most private waterfront lots in the area—truly a hidden gem.
We’re thrilled to partner again with Labella Residential (https://www.labellaresidential.com) on architecture and Amy Lee, owner of Artistic Interiors (https://artisticinteriordesign.com), on interior design.
Mid-March, we began design on a revised outdoor living space, complete with a new pool, pool bath, and expanded gathering areas. This marks our fifth project with this longtime homeowner—a partnership that’s spanned nearly a decade. We’re also celebrating the graduation of one of their children, who interned with us last summer. Continuing to support our homeowners through life’s transitions is one of the best parts of what we do.
Over the past few months, we’ve been working closely with local partners to evaluate the building envelope of a unique lakefront property in preparation for the homeowner’s future residence. With well, septic, and lake setbacks to consider from every angle, we’ve taken a thoughtful, site-sensitive approach to explore all viable options.
For this project, we’ve teamed up with longtime design partner Jim Phelps to bring the homeowner’s vision to life. The site sits at the end of a quiet street and boasts an exceptional stretch of Lake Norman shoreline—an inspiring canvas for a custom home.
As we move toward summer, we’re preparing to kick off the next round of exciting Augusta Homes projects currently in design. We’ll also be sharing more about:
